Ingrid Weyland was born in Buenos Aires. Belonging to a family of sculptors and architects, he grew up between papers, colored pencils, plans, inks, and clay. He could spend hours between these elements, hence his passion for form, image and design, finally studying Graphic Design at the UBA and working with his own studio for several years.

Some time later, he decided to study photography, starting with Angela Copello, and then participating in the workshops of Raquel Bigio, Fabiana Barreda, Inés Miguens, Diego Ortiz Mugica, clinic and work monitoring with Julieta Escardó, Workshop with Ana Sanchez Zinny, Taller Digital with Juan Brath, Imaginary Project (coordinated by Martín Estol and María Elena Méndez), and “Image Laboratory” with Verónica Fieiras, among others.

Her first images were of her daughter, recognizing in them her own feelings, sensations, and hidden memories, which define who we are and reveal the reconstruction of memory and female family ties. All these visions weave fantastic narratives, stories that do not finish unraveling, insinuated and dark.

At the same time, he begins to travel and take refuge in those landscapes that become scenes, scrambled and foggy, shelters of silence, solitude and containment. From these scenarios, a very evocative link is born, between character and spaces.

This is the current theme in his work.
